Creative Natives are chuffed to be working with the team at Hatched Media in helping them find their next Account Director to join the team in Sydney.


Hatched Media is an independent Australian-owned media agency, they’re passionate about crafted communications and commerce.

As an Account Director, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of media strategy and communication plans across your client portfolio. You will be a key player in client relationships and drive the team to produce the best outcomes possible.

This position demands a blend of strategic thinking, client engagement finesse, and team management.

Your role would involve navigating the dynamic media landscape,nurturing senior client relationships, and orchestrating impactful presentations to clients. As well as managing client relations you will also steer your team, manage diverse stakeholders, and ensure financial excellence.

Responsibilities within this role:

● Manage key client relationships throughout the business

● Deliver high-level client service, exceeding communication objectives and managing expectations

● Ensure Hatched receives well written briefs from clients and simultaneously ensures we pass on well written briefs to our media partners

● In conjunction with the strategists and specialists devise innovative and bespoke/tailored strategies in response to the clients brief

● Oversight of all planning and activation across campaigns from communications planning through to execution, ensuring it is in line with overall client media strategy and objectives

● Fine-tuning budget allocation, weights, phasing, and channel mix with the creation of the media plan

● Ensures accuracy and quality of media planning, negotiation, and implementation conducted by the team members

● Oversight of the end output across all client presentations

● Oversee team management, fostering internal and external stakeholder collaboration for successful client outcomes

● Monitor and manage the financial portfolio of clients


What you will have to be successful in this role:

● Proven experience in an Account Director role or similar (Media experience is highly attractive)

● Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills

● Strong strategic thinking and presentation abilities

● Financial acumen and experience managing high-volume portfolios

● Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

● Problem-solving skills with a fair and objective approach

● Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
